Another great time this year. We combined the Farewell Party and the Off to the Races. It was held on Third Street by Volunteer Hall. Again a fun time was had by all this year. We had some beautiful horses, (see picture) and a group of very energetic jockeys trying to win. This year prizes were given out again to the winning jockeys. Bets were placed on who would eventually win. Of course, the big set of dice that they were using to determine which horses got to move seemed to have a mind of their own. You can see them flying before landing on a number. So many viewers participated in tossing the dice and calling out numbers. So much laughter. And like real horses, there were accidents on the pavement, but then the horse got an extra move while the "cleaners" cleared the track. It was really worth a few good laughs Hopefully the pictures below bring back memories and encourage those who did not attend, the desire to come the next time. Thanks to all the participants, the volunteer groups, and those who prepared the delicious lunch that was enjoyed by all. Thanks to Kate Arnold & Joyce Matevia for sharing their photos
Some of our very talented and crafty residents held a craft show today in Volunteer Hall. Below are a few pictures from that great show today. The items were beautiful, we have some very talented residents and appreciate them showing off their wares. (02/07/2026)
